The Circle of R.E.S.T.E – Restorative and Energizing Support for Teachers and other Educators,
is a collaborative initiative by community stakeholders to provide an opportunity for educators on all levels, daycare through university level, to enjoy a chance to rest and learn strategies for mental, physical and emotional wellness. A caring community contributes to a more stable and satisfied workforce among those who are teaching our future citizens.
We are now planning our third annual event to be held:
Saturday, April 22, 2023, 10:00 – 3:00PM, at Columbia International University, Columbia, SC.
To introduce resources, strategies and support for educators and others leading to the reduction of mental and physical stress in diverse environments
The Circle of R.E.S.T.E. coordinates, shares and provides services to educators and others through informational workshops, retreats and counseling sessions with certified and licensed professionals.
The purpose of this letter is to solicit donations for:
1. Scholarships for educators to attend this restorative event at an affordable fee of $75.00 per person. 2. Donations to cover the cost for 150 participants, approximately $11,250.00.
3. Promotional items from your business to be placed in gift bags for the participants.
4. An opportunity to promote your business as a vendor.
5. Donations are tax deductible.

The retreat will offer workshops and activities based on the seven features from the Circle of Wellness: (1) mind & body (2) rest (3) exercise (4) nutrition (5) environment (6) community and (7) spirituality. Sessions include mental health informational sessions with licensed therapists, massage therapy, facials, art therapy, yoga, inspirational speeches and music to soothe the soul. Dante Lewis, nationally known musician, will provide smooth jazz sounds for the participants.
